Prishtina is sold out at the moment. The same plans and prices are available in Amsterdam and Dublin. Follow us on Telegram to hear when Kosovo capacity is back.
Every plan: NVMe storage, a dedicated IPv4 address plus IPv6, free weekly backups and full root access. Windows Server is available on VPS Mini and all VDS plans.
Your server runs in our own data centre in Prishtina, not in Frankfurt with a Kosovo label on the box.
Local peering and multi-carrier transit. Skopje is 77 km from the server; Frankfurt is about 1,260 km.
Personal data stays in the country under Law No. 06/L-082, with no cross-border transfer to explain.
A dedicated IPv4 address plus IPv6 on every plan, for websites, VPNs and reaching local services from abroad.
If you are looking for a VPS in Kosovo, check one thing before anything else: where the hardware actually sits. Some offers sold as "VPS Kosovo" run on servers in Germany, France or Finland, with only the brand or the support desk in Prishtina. RS Computers LLC, founded in Kosovo in 2018, runs its VPS and VDS servers in its own data centre in Prishtina, opened in 2024. The machine, the IP address and the people looking after it are all here.
Every server in Prishtina is a KVM virtual machine with exactly the same features as our servers in Amsterdam and Dublin:
Sizes and prices are in the cards above, identical in all three cities, and the full VPS and VDS plan comparison puts them side by side.
Distance sets a floor on latency that no hardware can remove. Light in single-mode fibre needs about 4.9 microseconds per kilometre (M2 Optics), roughly 1 ms of round trip for every 100 km of cable. Cables bend and routers add delay, so real pings sit above it. On 6 October 2026 we measured our own Prishtina server with ping.pe, a public tool that pings an address from probes in many cities, and kept the lowest of about 10 pings from each city. ping.pe has no probes in Skopje, Podgorica, Tirana or Belgrade, which are closer still: 77 to 243 km from Prishtina. Your own ping depends on your ISP.
| From Prishtina to | Straight-line distance | Measured to our Prishtina server |
|---|---|---|
| Vienna | 721 km | 18.6 ms |
| Bucharest | 444 km | 21.9 ms |
| Frankfurt | 1,263 km | 27.8 ms |
| Athens | 564 km | 30.9 ms |
| Milan | 1,005 km | 37.1 ms |
| Amsterdam | 1,623 km | 37.2 ms |
| London | 1,878 km | 40.2 ms |
| Istanbul | 673 km | 40.9 ms |
| Dublin | 2,340 km | 49.9 ms |
| New York | 7,443 km | 115.8 ms |
Distance is not everything: routing matters too. Athens and Istanbul are closer to Prishtina than Vienna, yet their probes answer more slowly, a sign that their traffic takes a longer way round.
Routing has shaped Kosovo's internet for years. When the country's national internet exchange, KOSIX, went live in 2011, a test between two Kosovo ISPs that had been routed through a carrier outside the country dropped from 13 hops to 7, and the average ping fell from 163 ms to 14 ms (KOSIX presentation, RIPE NCC regional meeting 2011). The detours have not disappeared. A 2025 RIPE NCC study of South East Europe still saw local traffic in the region handed over in Frankfurt and Vienna, and found that smaller markets such as Kosovo and Albania lean on hubs in neighbouring countries (RIPE NCC, October 2025).
That is why we put the work into local peering and multi-carrier transit: traffic from Kosovo and the Balkans takes a short path to your server instead of a trip through Germany. For an online shop, an admin dashboard, a VoIP line or a game server, those milliseconds are paid on every single request. The longer version of this argument is in Why buy a VPS in Kosovo?
Kosovo's Law No. 06/L-082 on Protection of Personal Data has applied since 13 February 2019, follows the EU's GDPR closely and is supervised by the Information and Privacy Agency. Two points matter when you choose where to host:
So hosting in Prishtina is not required, just simpler: when customer records, patient files or payroll never leave the country, there is no cross-border transfer to explain to customers, auditors or a public tender. Banks, clinics, schools and public institutions often have sector rules on top of the law, so confirm the details with your legal adviser.
We would rather sell you the right server than the one closest to our office. If most of your users are in Germany, the Benelux or France, a VPS in Amsterdam sits in one of Europe's best-connected internet hubs and will be quicker for them. For Ireland and the UK, a VPS in Dublin is the obvious pick. Plans and prices are the same in all three cities, so you can also combine them: production in Prishtina for local users and a standby copy in Amsterdam for redundancy. For audiences in North America or Asia, none of our cities is the closest; put a CDN in front of the server.
Outbound port 25 is blocked on new servers. If you run a mail server, ask on Telegram and we open it. Reverse DNS for your IPv4 is set in the client area panel, and if the panel does not take it, message us. Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025 run on VPS Mini and all VDS plans, with administrator access over RDP. Billing is in euros, Kosovo's legal tender since 2002 (Wikipedia), so local businesses pay without currency conversion, by bank transfer or cryptocurrency, monthly or yearly.

Yes. RS Computers opened its own data centre in Prishtina in 2024, and its Kosovo VPS servers run there. Kosovo also has a national internet exchange, KOSIX, operated by the regulator ARKEP, where local networks swap traffic directly (RIPE NCC). Before you buy any "Kosovo VPS", ask which city and building the server is in, because some offers sold under that name are hosted elsewhere in the EU.
Yes. Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025 are available in Prishtina on VPS Mini and on every VDS plan (VDS Small, VDS Medium and VDS Large). You choose Windows as the operating system when you configure the order, then connect over RDP as administrator. VPS Nano and VPS Micro are Linux only. More details are on the Windows VPS with RDP page.
Yes. Every server in Prishtina gets its own dedicated IPv4 address, not shared and not behind NAT, plus IPv6. Note that Kosovo has no official ISO 3166 country code, so geolocation services do not all label it the same way: the common stand-in is XK, while the RIPE Database lists Kosovo networks under a neighbouring country's code. If the exact label matters for your project, ask us on Telegram before you order.
Not in general. Law No. 06/L-082 on Protection of Personal Data follows the GDPR and allows transfers to countries on the Information and Privacy Agency's adequacy list, including the EU and EEA, when the people concerned are informed (DLA Piper). Hosting in Prishtina simply removes the question, because there is no cross-border transfer to document. Banks, health providers and public bodies may have stricter sector rules, so check with your legal adviser.
On 6 October 2026 we measured our Prishtina server with the public tool ping.pe and got best round trips of about 19 ms from Vienna, 28 ms from Frankfurt, 37 ms from Amsterdam and 40 ms from London. For users in Kosovo and the nearby Balkans the distance is far shorter: Skopje is 77 km away, Tirana 186 km. Your own result depends on your ISP's route, so ping from your own connection before you decide.
Yes. Outbound port 25 is blocked on new servers by default; message us on Telegram and we open it for your server. Set reverse DNS (PTR) for your IPv4 address in the client area panel, or ask us on Telegram if the panel does not accept it. A matching PTR record plus SPF, DKIM and DMARC on your domain gives your mail the best chance of reaching the inbox.
Yes. A WireGuard or OpenVPN server in Prishtina gives you your own Kosovo IP address wherever you are, which helps with local banking, government services and office systems while you travel. Personal and business VPNs are welcome on our network; Tor relays are not allowed under our Acceptable Use Policy. Our WireGuard on Debian 13 guide walks through the setup from a fresh server.
