VPS Hosting / WordPress VPS
WordPress on KVMWordPress VPS hosting at RS Computers is a KVM server in Amsterdam, Dublin or Prishtina that runs only your WordPress sites: your own PHP version, your own database, a dedicated IPv4 address plus IPv6, NVMe storage, unmetered traffic and free weekly backups. WordPress is not preinstalled. A free control panel puts it up in about twenty minutes with our WordPress on a VPS guide, or we set it up for you, quoted on request by Telegram or email.

Every plan: NVMe storage, a dedicated IPv4 address plus IPv6, free weekly backups and full root access. Windows Server is available on VPS Mini and all VDS plans.
No other customers on your web server or database, so busy neighbours do not slow your pages.
Pick the PHP version, memory limit, OPcache, Redis and real cron jobs that your plugins need.
NVMe storage, unmetered traffic and a dedicated IPv4 address plus IPv6 on every plan.
Free weekly backups you restore from the client area, plus reboot, reinstall and a console in the same panel.
A WordPress VPS is a virtual server where the web server, PHP and the database belong to your sites alone. On shared hosting hundreds of accounts use the same PHP workers and the same database server, so a busy neighbour slows your pages and the host decides your PHP version, memory limit and cron rules. On a VPS you set them.
RS Computers runs these servers on KVM in three cities, with the same six plans and prices in each. Every plan has full root access, a client area to reboot, reinstall, open a console and restore backups, and a 99% monthly uptime SLA. VPS plans use shared vCPUs; VDS plans have dedicated vCPUs and a 10 Gb/s port for busy shops and agencies.
| Shared WordPress hosting | WordPress VPS at RS Computers | |
|---|---|---|
| Who else is on the server | Hundreds of other accounts | Only your sites |
| PHP version and limits | Chosen by the host, often with low memory and execution limits | Your choice, including PHP 8.3 or newer, OPcache, Redis object cache and your own memory limit |
| Database | A shared MySQL server | Your own MariaDB or MySQL |
| IP address | Shared with other sites | A dedicated IPv4 address plus IPv6 |
| Cron and background jobs | Limited or run only when someone visits | A real system cron, WP-CLI and queues |
| Who does the server work | The host | You, with a free control panel, or us, quoted on request |
Shared hosting is fine for a small brochure site. A VPS starts to pay off when the site earns money, when several client sites share one bill, or when plugins need more PHP memory, longer timeouts or extensions the host will not install.
WordPress's own requirements page recommends PHP 8.3 or greater, MySQL 8.0 or greater or MariaDB 10.11 or greater, and HTTPS support, with Apache or Nginx as the web server. Debian 13 and Ubuntu 24.04 on our plans ship versions that meet all of these. The current release on 12 October 2026 was WordPress 7.1.3, published on 6 October (WordPress releases).
Memory decides the plan. In our own tests a small WordPress site used about 200 to 300 MB under load. A WooCommerce stack used under 300 MB after serving its pages, with each PHP worker close to 100 MB, and an uncached checkout page was built in about 0.13 seconds on the server (our WooCommerce lab). Each extra PHP worker lets one more uncached visitor be served at the same moment, so a shop with many logged-in buyers needs more memory than a blog with the same traffic.
| Your WordPress | What drives the size | Where to start |
|---|---|---|
| One blog or company site | One site with page caching; few PHP workers | VPS Nano or VPS Micro |
| A handful of sites, or a site with forms and a members area | A control panel, several databases, more uncached requests | VPS Micro or VPS Mini |
| A WooCommerce shop | Cart, checkout and account pages are never page-cached, so PHP workers do the work | VPS Mini or VDS Small |
| An agency hosting client sites | Dozens of sites, staging copies, backups and updates running side by side | VDS Small or VDS Medium |
| High-traffic sites or big shops with sales peaks | Many PHP workers, Redis and a large database buffer pool | VDS Medium or VDS Large |
The plan cards above list each plan's exact vCPU, memory and disk. You can move to a bigger plan later from the client area with a short reboot.
You do not need to be a Linux administrator. Three routes, from easiest to most hands-on:
Most WordPress VPS customers arrive with a site already running somewhere else. The safe order is: build the new server, copy files and database, preview the site on the new server with your real domain, then freeze changes, make a final copy and switch DNS. Our WordPress migration guide was tested end to end with WP-CLI and covers search-replace for serialized data, cron jobs, and how to keep your Google rankings by leaving URLs unchanged.
Pick the city closest to most of your visitors. A CDN in front of WordPress helps far-away visitors with images and cached pages, but uncached pages such as checkout always come from your server.
wp cron event run --due-now from a system cron every few minutes.Support answers on Telegram and at support@rscomputers-ks.com, Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00, and the NOC watches the platform 24/7. There is no phone line. To compare everything in one place, see all VPS and VDS plans.
Usually, yes, once the site gets real traffic. On a VPS your PHP workers and database serve only your sites, so pages do not queue behind other customers' traffic, and you can add OPcache and a Redis object cache. A well-cached small blog may feel similar on both; the difference shows on uncached pages such as WooCommerce cart and checkout, logged-in areas and the admin dashboard.
In our tests a small WordPress site used about 200 to 300 MB of RAM under load, and each WooCommerce PHP worker close to 100 MB. A single site fits on 1 or 2 GB; a shop or several sites with a control panel are more comfortable on 4 GB or more. WordPress itself asks for PHP 8.3 or greater and MySQL 8.0 or MariaDB 10.11 or greater (WordPress requirements).
No. Servers come with a clean Linux image such as Debian or Ubuntu. You install WordPress with a free control panel or our step-by-step guide in about twenty minutes, or ask us to set it up, quoted on request. The server is deployed automatically after payment, usually within minutes.
The servers are unmanaged by default: you have full root access and look after updates. A free control panel takes care of most day-to-day work, such as sites, databases, certificates and PHP versions. If you want us to install, migrate or tune WordPress, we quote that work on request by Telegram or email.
Yes. Copy the files and database to the new server, preview the site there with your real domain, then switch DNS after a final copy. Our WordPress migration guide walks through it with WP-CLI. Keep the same URLs and your search rankings carry over. We can also do the move for you, quoted on request.
As many as memory allows. A VPS Micro comfortably runs a handful of small sites, and a VPS Mini or a VDS carries an agency's portfolio. Each site gets its own database and PHP settings in a control panel. Shops and busy sites need more memory per site than brochure sites.
Send WordPress email through a mail provider or an SMTP plugin on port 587, which works from day one. Outbound port 25 is blocked on new servers and opened on request. Running your own mail server is possible; our Mailcow guide explains what it takes.
Yes. WooCommerce asks for a PHP memory limit of 256 MB, and cart, checkout and account pages must never be page-cached, so plan enough PHP workers and memory. VPS Mini suits a small shop and VDS Small or bigger suits shops with sales peaks. Our e-commerce VPS guide has the full setup and sizing.
